June 26, 2026
We are pleased to announce the June 2026 update of the CMS Expert Guide to remote working. The update incorporates the latest legislative developments and provides practical guidance on managing remote working arrangements in over 30 jurisdictions.
The Guide provides a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction overview as well as allowing a comparative view. It covers:
• The implementation (and withdrawal) of remote working arrangements and the respective rights of employers and employees.
• Employer obligations relating to equipment, expenses, allowances, insurance, and health and safety.
• Employee protections, including coverage for work-related accidents and illnesses.
• The legal implications of remote work abroad, including employment law, social security, tax, immigration and residence requirements.
The Guide supports informed decision-making. While no replacement for legal advice in individual cases, it will assist managers and executives with regional or international HR responsibilities in managing increasingly complex cross-border workforce arrangements.
Should you require further assistance or wish to discuss specific legal questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
