2017 Immigration Update with DOJ's Liza Zamd and Franczek Radelet Attorneys Tejas Shah and Karlie Dunsky
President Donald Trump's April 18th Executive Order ("Buy American, Hire American") sets out an executive branch policy to use American-produced goods and to more rigorously enforce the existing immigration laws. On September 27, Franczek Radelet and the Chicago Bar Association's Immigration and Nationality Committee will host a presentation from Liza Zamd, Acting Special Litigation Counsel in the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (formerly known as the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices). Ms. Zamd will address important questions raised by this Executive Order and other recent events during a ninety minute CLE event.
